Naturalistic ~ Reason, Science, Philosophy
  |
Naturalists (as opposed to supernaturalists) tend to respect belief derived from reason (rational thought), science (knowledge as obtained and tested via the scientific method), and philosophy (a search for a general understanding of values and reality by an often speculative rather than observational means).
Reason is here represented by the equilateral triangle, a basic, logical, ideal form. Science is expressed by the circle, the open eye of observation, the shape of the view through microscope or telescope. Philosophy is intoned by the heart, a shape in tune with ideas based more on meaning, feeling, and purpose than bare fact.
