Modalist ~ Creator, Redeemer, Giver of Life

Faith Symbol Main Page
Modalism (or Sabellianism) is the belief that the Christian Trinity of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are simply different modes or aspects of one God rather than three distinct persons in God Himself. The third century theologian Sabellius, as opposed to previous modalists, believed these were successive rather than simultaneous roles.

The creator aspect is here represented by the triangle, a basic shape for the basis of everything. Creator as redeemer is represented by the circle, which rounds out (redeems) the triangle. Creator as giver of life is expressed by the heart, an organ of life being also a symbol of the love shown by the gift of life. Compare Christian.
