Masonic ~ Wisdom, Strength, Beauty

Faith Symbol Main Page
From the phrase, “For there should be wisdom to contrive, strength to support, and beauty to adorn” are taken the lesser lights— wisdom, strength, and beauty— which parallel the greater symbols— scriptures, square, and compass respectively— and are said to help guide Masons and make them better men.

The triangle— foundational and supportive— represents wisdom. The circle, a symbol of life or celestial spirit, here stands for strength. The heart, an emblem of happiness and joy as well as being the most complex of the three forms, here symbolizes beauty.
