Mahayana ~ Truth, Bliss, Transformation

Faith Symbol Main Page
Mahayana means Great Raft and is the most influential of the three main forms of Buddhism. Buddha is believed to have three forms or bodies— the body of essence or ultimate truth; the body of enjoyment or bliss, a celestial spirit with saving power; and the body of transformation, an emanation in human form to guide humans to enlightenment.

The triangle— basic and supportive— represents truth. The circle, a symbol of life or celestial spirit, represents bliss. The heart, an emblem of happiness and joy as well as love, here represents enlightenment or transformation.
