Feuerbachian ~ Reason, Will, Love

Faith Symbol Main Page
Feuerbach, a German materialist philosopher and religious skeptic, conceived of religion in general, and the Trinity in particular, as at best a projection into infinity of the human faculties of reason, will, and love. When projection is removed, he claimed, it is discovered that humanity itself, in its highest expression, is worthy of reverence.

The triangle’s symmetry and stability suggest reason. The circle, like a camera or projector lens, is carefully focused, as is the greatest will. The heart shape is a universal symbol of love.
