Augustinian

Faith Symbol Main Page
Saint Augustine interpreted the persons of the Christian Trinity as representative of Being, Knowledge, and Love— “We are (Being), we know that we are (Knowledge), and we love to be and to know that we are (Love).”

As in the case of the Trinity the triangle represents Father— universal law, or basis of Being. The circle represents Son— life, awareness, or Knowledge. The heart represents Holy Spirit— Love.
